After several years of preparation, the HUN-REN Data Repository Platform (ARP) is ready to be launched in March.

The aim of the ELKH ARP project is to create a software platform to store, archive and share research data.

In May 2023, the ARP ambassadors programme was launched, with six successful applications.

The National Research, Development and Innovation Office hosted a "Tripartite Event" supported by the EC and EOSC that provided a platform to discuss the policies and best practices linked to Open Science.

Prof. Dr. Peter Kacsuk, technical leader of ELKH Cloud gave a keynote talk during the first day of IWSG 2022 under the title “Lessons learnt from building a research cloud infrastructure in Hungary”

As part of the ELKH ARP project, we mapped the knowledge, experience and needs of ELKH researchers in the field of data management through a complex qualitative and quantitative survey.

Between 20-22 April 2022, the HUNGARNET Association, in cooperation with the Ministry for Innovation and the Digital Success Programme, organised the 31st edition of the NETWORKSHOP conference.

The main objective of the ELKH ARP project is to create a data repository based on the service already provided by CONCORDA, but reaching a wider research community. In order to tailor the services as much as possible to the needs of researchers, a complex qualitative and quantitative survey was carried out to map the knowledge, experience and needs of ELKH researchers in relation to data management.

The Concorda data repository, renewed under the ELKH ARP project, now allocates handle-type persistent identifiers to data packets.
